Holding lunch time meeting and presentations are common for most corporations, but not much is considered for a breakfast meeting. There are many advantages in doing so. Sometimes first thing in the day is the best way to get things done.
As we all know, breakfast meals are usually more economical than hosting a lunch (or even dinner). The cost is also lower due to the fact that they are less common, think of why a matinee is cheaper than the evening show. This is the same principle.
Early in the morning people’s heads are fresh. There is little stress compared to later in the day. The distractions are fewer and less possible conflicts with co-workers that can cause possible delays. It is also less likely that there will be last minute cancellations for reasons that can be invented during the day. Attendance is more than likely to be full and everyone on time.
Most of these events are generally short; maybe an hour and a half. When the food is served first thing, people are more at ease. Their minds are more at rest and open to ideas when they have food on their plate and coffee or juice in their cup. If your meeting is planned to go on a little longer, plan a break inbetween to give them a chance to grab something else or another cup.
